IM NOT SURE IF THIS PHONE AN BE UNBCKED IT ASKS FOR A LOCK PHONE CODE I WAS WONDERING IF ANY1 KNEW OF THEM OR IF IT IS OSSIBE TO CHANGE MY IME NUMBER OFOR MY PONE CUZ IM RALLY FEDUP WITH MY PHONE, IM NEVA GONA BUY ANOTHER PHONE OFF E-BAY

iv done that, but nothing happens i get a padlock icon top right of the phone, i think the phone has been rob or its a scam im not sure i dont know, all i know is that iv been rob i was sold this phone and i dont know wot to do
the phone is on all networks it unlocked but the phones blocked to all networks, this is the problem i can explore the featiure of the phone but i cant make phone calls, iv noticed that wen u press the power button and u get the tones options u know, genral , silent and all that there 1 option called LOCK PHONE its a 5 digit number iv check it in the security setting there 5 stars, i really dont know wot to do im all out of ideas, plz help thanx for the resones ppl this is a great web site and a very friends community i lov it keep up the great work eveyr 1 !!

hi i'm not sure what the prob' is on your fone but have you tried a full format? i'm not sure if this will sort the prob, but it returns the fone back to the original settings (as if it had just come from the factory). it's worth a try, it's all explained in this thread:-http://nokiafree.org/forums/t26621/s.html

But take NOTICE and read the full thread!!! as this operation can DAMAGE if not KILL your fone if it's done wrong!!!

but with this in mind i have done it to mine a few times now without any prob's. ;)

hi ksindhu this lock code you have with five stars try 12345 it's the factory preset code worth a try m8

iv tryed all the preset codes like 1111 and 12345 its an actural code but i dont know wot to do i think it can onlt be delt with by thr operator, but they said its a lost or stlen phone so i have to find the person who useto own the phone, thanx anyway

after i try the 7370 code it asks me to enter in a LOCK PHONE code, i dont know how to avoid this, DOSE ANY1 KNOW OF A PROGRAM THAT ILL CHANGE MT IMEI NUMBER AND WHERE I COULD GET OT FROM CUZ THEN I NEED A DATA CABLE

Your problem is that you that your fone has been stolen! The fone's IMEI has been blocked and it will inly work in countries who won't give a damn about the foreign stolen fones, or change IMEi, which i think not to be yet possible!

okay apparently it seems that half the people around here haven't understod what this guy is saying... He's having a problem not with the fact hat it's a stolen phone or the IMEI being blocked or anything like that, its ust that he doesnt know the phone's ok code (the preset is 12345).. I don't think the phone is stolen i just think that the last owner changed the lock code from the default 12345 to something else... SO isuggest the Ksindhu to contact the person from whom he bought the phone on ebay and find out the lock code....
If you can't get anywhere with that then here's wat to do..
Take the phone into a NSC and ask them to upgrade the firmware on it.. They usually never ask you for the lock code nor do they require it......

ok i understod most of what you said, what is an NSC and what does the fireware do , im a new person sorri what can i do, i think you just mean a normal mobile phone phone shop am i right , thanx il giv it a try

an NSC is not a normal celphone shop its a Nokia Service Centre..... In some countries only they can service your nokia phone....
And firmware is like the kinda software that your cellphone runs on, but it's called Firmware...

be advised if that nokia service centres do have a security procedure in place and if they think the phone is stollen then they do contact the relevent parties concerned. Also dont keep on inserting numbers as u will hit a limit and the phone will not even accept the correct code.
