Cable Conversion... Will be a little bit of a job.

Thought I had the pinouts handy but our server is in the middle of something. Ill get them over to ya in a bit.

What software do you intend to use with it? Theres almost nothing written for that phone other than PHOENIX.

Hi everyone, olá Thiana,

the 3320 is of course a TDMA phone with about the same functionalities as a 3330 (not 3310). However, it has the same no. of buttons as the 3350 and 3410 and the battery/datacable attachment is completely different.

Data cables for this model can be found on eBay USA or eBay Canada (haven't seen these cable on marcadolivre.com here in Brazil, but it sure would be cool to have one as Logo Manager is compatible with TDMA phones). It's compatible w/ all logos and ringtones for GSM Nokias.

Also, 3320s look extremely cool with 3410 faceplates and keypads (I have a 3410 on Oi - one of Brazil's GSM operators) and tried the cover on a friend's Telemig 3320 and it fit OK (button placement is the same, much like the difference is style between 3310 and 3315).

I'm currently trying to have my LEDs changed to bright blue and that sort of conversion is also good for 3320's.

I'll try and get more info on Nokia TDMA phones on this forum as I fiddle with them.

Thiana, I'm in Belo Horizonte, MG, where are you based in Brazil?

That's it, I'll keep posting. thanks

Hi again everyone.

I found Nokia 3320/3360 datacables in two places:

ucable.com where they cost 66 Euros, or on http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1391404815 where they cost US$14.00 + postage.

That address is an eBay listing and won't be up for long, but simply do a search for 3360 data cable (use 3360 because it's the most common in the USA). Notice on the photo that the battery attachment and the data bus plug position are different from the more common 3310/30/3410 datacables.

As I have said, 3320s and their datacables are compatible with LogoManager.

Hope this helps.

Well great!

I'm from Rio but moved here when I was 15.

Anyways, check eBay for N3320 datacables at better prices. The guy on the ad I mentioned here is from Hong Kong.

Cheers,

Thiana,

as for the 3310 cable you already have, you can use it on Oi phones (3310 and other future DCT-3). Now that TIM started operating in Rio you can unlock Oi Nokias to be used with TIM SIMCards, etc...

Just an idea!

i see... but i saw a couple 3310 from oi, and donīt find out any blocks... there are any?
by the way, i made an operative 3320 mbus cable. itīs not a good looking one, but....:)

Thiana,

I tried a foreign (Optus - Australia) SIMCard on 3310s from Oi and they came up with a "Insert Valid SIMCARD" message...

Then I used datacable to unlock and the SIMCard worked OK, though it would not roam because there's no roaming agreement with Optus yet.

The fact is that Oi is selling SIM-locked phones without telling people. THey don't even tell their customers that such a thing exists...

Now there's a potential un-locking market to explore with the arrival of TIM on the GSM front, unfortunately here in MG TIM is already operating in TDMA and won't switch to GSM until April 2003.

I read about ebay; but I was thinking something like Tim or GlobalTelecom, or whatever, dont they sell Data Cables or Flash Cables?

Thanks

Nanda

There's no way an operator will sell you a datacable!

After all, they do charge you R$1,95 for every lousy logo you download from them, don't they?

To get that cable, you should try the internet and eBay is the cheapest place to find these things.
