Hi all,
I've tried downloading some applications for my Nokia 3510i, they arrive on my desktop as a seperate .jad & .jad file, but when I try to copy the .jad file into my phone's application folder I get error messages ;-
The object in the clipboard is not a valid java component, check that the filname in the .jad file is correct for the associated .jar file.
Can anyone help me out ? p.s I'm using MobilMB
many thanks

Delete the old jad file and regenarate it again using the program I attach... When u want to copy a game into your phone then drag and drop the *.jad file into the mombiMB window... That's it...
I hope i have helped...

I've got the program running but it doesn't seem to work..... if I try to drag the .jad file (shown as a winrar file) into the narrow window of the program I just see a circle with a line through it ... meaning "won't allow".

First of all delete the old *.jad file. Drag and drop the *.jar file into the JADGEN.exe proggy and a *.jad file will be generated...
Then open this jad file with a notepad and edit the line that says "MIDlet-Jar-URL:" and paste the *.jar file path (usualy only the filename is applied) so that it becomes like this : MIDlet-Jar-URL: game_name.jar.
Then drag and drop the *.jad file into the Mombi MB games folder...
I hope it works this time. Works gr8 for me...

Try using PC Suite. It works better and gives less errorneous results.
For MobilMB, u can try this: Copy both the files (.jad & .jar) with Ctrl-C and then paste it in any folder of your phone by using Ctrl-V in MobilMB. It will copy.

I receive the same message myself... However it seems that the mario.jar file is corrupted. Try to redownload it again...

well, i tried dwnloading it agn... but still doesnt work. strange, when i try to create jad files of tested jar files i still get the same msg.
There is no
META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
Even if you got a working jad file, the game probably wouldn't work :)
(If the above is too technical, the jar file has not been created properly, the file is not corrupt (I think anyway), just someone doesn't know how to create jar files properly).
Try finding another copy,
Gluck
