3330 to 3315/3310 ?

Does anyone know how to change Nokia 3330 into 3315 ? :confused:

I tried to change 3310 to 3315 and it worked OK, but I don't know how to change smaller size soft to phone with bigger size software.
When I flashed full soft v. 5.47 package N (MCU+PPM+eeprom) at 200000 to 3330 the phone didn't want to run. :(
Technicaly the most important difference beetween 3310/3315 and 3330 is bigger memory in 3330, so software from 3310/3315 should work on it.

Maybe it could be done with other addresses for eeprom and/or PPM. :(
But what addresses ?

I liked 3315 and I would like to change my 3330 into it.
Could anyone help me with that ?

I don't think that will be possible..

Coz the hardware of 3330 is different than 3310, so I think it won't be possible.. :(

Lets hope that Nokia will make a 3335 :D with new features like 3315...

There is something like that - 3350, but it has bigger screen and I don't know that it can be changed 3330 into 3350.
I've read that it is possible with changing the screen, but is anyone who changed 3330 into something better without changing hardware ?
Please help...

1. 3330-3310/15

Well i tried it already myself,with some modification and stuff, and no it aint possible, i dont really think it's because of some hardware difference because the 3310 software is a part of the 3330 ones! I think it has something to do with the flash, i mean if you can change the chip to 2mb of your 3330 then i guess it should work! But for now no :/

2. 3330-3350

I did that one too, and yes it was working fine :D
But if you want to see things like you sohuld, u need to change your dispaly with frame & cover!

I tried 3330 -> 3350 yesterday evening and it works, but...
3330 -> 3310 or 3315 didn't worked :(
And I know, that there are some models of 3310 with 4M flash...
So this must work... maybe the software of 4M 3310 is different than 2M 3310... ?
Could someone give me the flash from 4M 3310, please ?

For Mr. NokDoc : in your zip file there isn't a flash file...i have tried to flash this file into my 3330, but a program give me an error message...why? What are a .001 .002 .003 .crc files?

Make this:

1.rename that 001.002.003 files to 1.001 2.002 3.003
2.start MS DOS prompt
3. write this: copy /b 1.001+2.002 and write YES
4. now: copy /b 1.001+3.003 and write YES
5. Now 1.001 is MCU+PPM for your 3330......

Lenght 3,473,408 bytes and that is mcu + ppm file....start adress is 200000 like allways and now u can try to flash it.......
Please post results as i dont have 3330 to test

Abe: there is a much simplier method to merge this files ;-)
Do just at command prompt:

copy /b file.001 + file.002 + file.003 file.fls

and just flash the file to the phone.

I flashed back my backup and phone was ok.

To flash a 3330 to a 3310/5 you just put the flash on there twice so flash it the first time to 0x200000 and then to 0x400000

Simple isn't it? ;)

have purchased a new griffin v2.02 upgraded to 2.07 and when i went to flash a dct3 nokia 3310 it did well with the mcu and ppm but did not reset it to the factory settings after flash. and nw the result is the phone does not work at all there is no display coming on it can u help me to bring back the life on the phone??

Try reflashing it to a different software version and try virgin eeprom!
