Software UPDATE (idiots guide)?

I have been unlocking Nokias using dejan + jethro etc for some time with no problem. It is upgrading the software that I am having trouble with. If anyone has the time could they please have a look at this and check the procedure. I appear to need an idiots guide!

(Make back-up first, of course!)

1. Download new MCU
2. Download new ppm
3. Download virgin eeprom

4. Write MCU to phone
5. (not sure now!) Modify the ppm? Nk_clc or ppmmanager???
6. Write modified ppm to phone?
7. Re-calculate IMEI?
8. Write eeprom to phone

I backed up the phone beforehand (3 files) 20-5a. 5a-60.. & full)
Reloaded this, phone boot up o.k but it looses signal and then re-boots!

If you updating the Software u needn't a virgin eeprom!
Only mcu+ppm!
Then - you needn't to modify the ppm!

U loose signal because of the wrong faid!
Use EEpromtools if you haven't modified ppm or mcu to generate Faid! IF you have modified it you should use a log faid generator -> ie B-Phreaks Logger 1.xx and -tek- calculator ;)!

Then everything sohuld be fine!
