I've been reading these forums off and on for a while now, I stumbled across www.cellsocket.com (http://www.cellsocket.com) yesterday and decided to register and start a discussion. This cellsocket looks like a pretty simple thing to create compared to all the RE of the flash that goes on in here.
I am interested in expanding on this cellsocket idea and had a few questions:
1. What sort of cable would be required to talk to a nokia 8265?
2. Is there any software available that would aid in the development of a software clone of cellsocket?
3. Has anyone done any work on a project similar to this?
Thanks

You mean use a Nokia 8265 with CellSocket system? Unfortunately I don't think it supports the 8265 (look at CellSocket Compatibility Chart in the about section)
If you wanted to expand the actual CellSocket system, I don't think this could be done through a cable (since the calls can't be made through a cable), and you would have to make a new reciever
3. Has anyone done any work on a project similar to this?
I don't believe so, no.

Thanks for the reply bobl. What I would like to do is use develop my own "cellsocket", perhaps a software managed one that has more than one cell phone port with selective rollover/voicemail forwarding depending on which phones are plugged in. And, since I currently only have an 8265 available I was wondering what type of cable I would need to get connected to the phone. I assume it's the same type of cable you would use in a car kit, but there is not car kit for the 8265. All this reversing of the flash is way more complex than talking to the phone via a car-kit, so I figured there was already a cable that would jack into the 8265 so I wouldn't have to create my own.
