why rolis DCT3 flasher do not support notebook?

i am try many rolis DCT3 flasher to read flasher,when it finish read nd it will automtic pop up a message saying "when you write it back you will get contact service? "
can anyone help me in this?

a message had come out when i write in the flash file with ROLIS 477

FLASH ERASING ERROR
must recieved 9100FF but received :FF FF FF
check VPP, VBAT VOLTAGE,PHONE TYPE

what should i do?

Make sure the correct phone type is selected!!!
Fully charge the battery and try flashing again....

i got this message a few times to, check your cable that it isn't faulty.

in rolis you can set the lpt settings. default is the delay index 2 after changing it to 3 i didn't get those messages any more..

i heard from some people that wanned to flash from a notebook that it didn't work out

we have got two nootbooks one a dell latitude where i was unable to flash and my own compaq v300 wich has no problem flashing any phone with any program.

you can check if your parrallel settings inside your laptops bios are correct it must be bidirectional some times cald ECP+EPP

is it posible that you try flashing with the same cable from a normal non nt based desktop computer?

i am currently using ACER Travelmate 330 series....its a P II wif a speed of 300 mhz, Win98 ...Rolis 4.77 & 4.78 runs smoothly on it....if u can get this notebook it will be good for any service software.. ...although its a bit slow for any other usage... e.g. gaming...:D

But u must make sure that ya battery is fully charged, ya cables are not faulty, especially the sensetive contacts pins on the cable itself.

at first i'm have PROB too.next i'm set LPT1 to be LPT2 in BIOS.it work without PROB.

Flashing works on knok22, not on Dejan.
lpt set to ecp.

Little other detail, since it has no comport I can tell a usb>rs232 convertor works fine too on mbus/fbus.

PIII 600mhz Sony VAIO - LPT1 set to EPP/ECP
Works 100% on ALL software

Running WinME (Can't get all sony specific PIO controller drivers for win98.. lol)

I've never had problems since i set the lpt type!

Mess about with yours until you get the setting right...

Yes but the independent FAID calculators won't work (i.e. MONSTERFAID). Having a usb-rs232 generally could only be configured under com2, 3, etc. but not in COM1. Anyway, xpmobilepro works perfectly, logomanager, tool035 works smoothly.

How exactly did you "fake" the ports? I want to try that so I could make my USB-serial cable on COM1

the reason that i have found is that on SOME laptops depending on make the voltage that acts in the lpt port isnt high enough as some laptops run lower voltages:)

IN CONTROL PANEL THEN REMOVE COM 1 TO LET YOUR COM 2
STAY,REBOOT THEN TRY SOFTWARE THATS WORKING IN COM 2
ONLY,ANOTHER ONE IS YOU NEED TO ADD CONFIGURATION FOR THAT SETTINGS MEANING YOU WILL HAVE DUAL BOOT WITH

me have some problem in dejan 1.05.
1)when i use lpt1 to flashing , it show bad connection or bad box While in half of Flashing,
how to solve it? problem same go to rolis flasher.
2)when i set to lpt2, rolis work great,but how to set dejan105 to lpt2?
