I've had a read through the other related posts but being something of a newcomer to the flashing game I'm looking for someone to help me!

I've got here an 8210 which a mate brought to me to be "unlocked"... so I dutifully flashed it with jethro, only to be subsequently told that it was displaying "contact service" to begin with. Anything I can do with my dual-bus and flasher cables? I'm told by eeprom tools that theres an MCU checksum error, and i believe the answer has something to do with using something like the rolis flasher, but until someone can tell me exactly what to do (and for example which mcu file i need to upload) I'm not going to risk messing the phone up any more! Thanx in advance... t.

read it from nokia tool and u will see the sw versio....then upload new flash file..and it will be ok...if it has 4 locks maybe you try to full flash ur phone.then use eeprom tools 3.1 to open four locks then calculate authority id.

Use full flash of a 8210 v 531 ppm of your choice
You can find at www.gengheraenga.net
Start a flash program and flash it from start adress 00200000
Than start nk_calc F3 F2 F1
If needed flash and a virgin eeprom
Will be ok
