I had a good browse for standalone DCT4 unlock code generators. I did find one or two FREE standalone generators, which never seemed to work.

Your best bet is to save up some money and buy the software and dongle for silly money.

You have to use nok25 to flash this model,if flash cant do the job,probably the combo problems,especially this model.

I know we must use a resistor but i dont know where and what value.

Have you try to clean the sim & contact with dry cloth,or the holder broken?

Hi elijah3877,

After doing the cleanings and checks the other person said before, you should check for SIM signals. SIM Signals can be measured in phone SIM contacts. The problem is that you need to power ON phone first and the battery wont let you access easily the SIM contacts under it. You could build a simple Power Supply Unit specialy designed for battery simulation and use it instead of battery or you could connect the battery to the phone and find out test points on the phone for SIM signals. First find out 6110 Service Manual in Google and take a look where this signals can be found in the front side of the main board. SIM signlals include a Power pin with 3 or 5V depending of the SIM, a clock pin, a data pin and ground. If this signals are present and show normal values/waveforms then it is another level malfunction. In this case i recomend to reflow CCONT first of all. If reflow is not enough, check CCONT for damage and replace it if necessary.

I think that could be a tipical FAID mismatch. FAID is the final checksum of the phone, and Nokia software only allow network if FAID is correct. You can correct FAID in Nokia phones using XPmobile software.
A good way to find out if network failure is a software or hardware problem is to put the phone to choose network manualy (in the menu Config/Phone config/Network search) and see the time it takes to finish that routine. If is finishes quickly (about 5..8 secs) that means it is a software problem.. if it takes 20..30 seconds to find out it has no network that means software is allowing network comunic. but the phone is not receiving signal at all.

my 3310 have fall down recently, but it work like normaly.. my phone already upgrade to 3315, which have start-tone + vibra.
the strange thing is, when i charge the phone and switch on , the phone go crazy, mean the start tone goes half then stop and vibra non-stop... any idea for my phone, did you come across this problem ?

Well.. sometimes we do things with high technical precision.. other times we just have a clue.. this thing of searching for network is one of clue type.. When the phone have incorrect FAID or any software error that cut network off, the searching routine is very quick.. if the phone takes its maximum time to search network he is realy searching for network but just dont find any. For some reason i still dont know yet, the software reports no network sooner when it have invalid memory checksum. The question is.. why should a phone report that it cant find any network in 5 seconds only?.. when the normal procedure is to take about 30 seconds to do it?
If you backup your phone´s memory to your PC 2 or 3 times, you may test the software reload and FAID correction safely.. but in that case i would try the antena switch bypass procedure and see if the phone´s 900Mhz band is working.
Anyway, i'm sending you the 3310/30 Repair hints document, im shure it will help a bit more.

ive been repairing phones many times and i just want to give you a little help.

using net monitor,

1. select test 1 if you see the SEAR below, it means your
transmitter id down.

2. select test 6 if you see the network codes display both in left
& right side, it means the receiver is good.

3. if transmitter is dead, replace the PA!

4. this method should be done after you have try to repair the
phone in software basis, like updating faid, checking the imei
if it is alike in software (*#06#) and hardware side (imei at the
back), and lastly flashing working flash to phone.

Just bought a second hand nokia 3330 which had a problem where the LCD wasnt displaying a few lines in the middle of the display. swapped LCD, put in SIM card - When turning on phone connects to network for several seconds then signal goes completely. phone hasnt been dropped & antenna looks ok. Is unlocked to all networks.

on turning off & back on, phone doesnt connect to network, battery & sim have to be removed & replaced. then switching on again, finds network for a few seconds then loses it again!

i dont have a cable to connect it to my pc, nor do i have experience of software etc repairs on phones.

Please could anyone try & assist!!?

fully drained batteries need to be shocked by power suply.

it means, directing high voltage into the battery terminal.
about 10volts dc.

procedure is:

1. direct the line of negative terminal (of power supply) to the
negative terminal of battery.

2. then, connect the + line of power supply to the + of bettery
intermitently.
means 2sec connect then 2sec not (vice versa)

this should help....

net monitor is being activated using nok tool by rolis in any version (1.8, 1.9)

just select NET MONITOR
then select ENABLE R & D
now you have additional net monitor icon in your nokia phone.

net monitor is applicable in all nokia phones!

(gonna find it in my archive).

I've made several repairs in 3310/3330 phones with that precisely simptom and the only necessary thing to do is to replace battery. I dont remember other situation diferent from that.
I believe that only happens with NIMH batteries (the older ones) and not with li-ion batteries.
I made a circuit recently that is a coulomb counter for measuring batteries chargind capacity in mA/h so i hope to be more precise soon, about battery problems.
Sometimes the problem is just a broken battery after the phone fall down several times. The battery may stop having recharge properties.
It can be also a charger problem. Nokia Chargers are not all the same. Charging current for diferent bateries is also diferent. Sometimes the phones charging routine have some trouble dealing with weak chargers. Imagine the following situation:
You have a batery that consume about 500mA when charging.. or maybe more.. the phone starts charging the batery only some seconds after you plug the charger into it.. the phone detects for example 8 to 10V in the charger and shows the charging simbol.. when it starts charging the battery, the charging current of 0,5A or more drop the charger voltage to about 3..4V less then the initial state.. it means that now the charger has only 5..7V, so the phone stops charging imediatly. When it stops, the voltage goes back to 8..10V and it goes on like this forever.. showing the simptom you see in your phone. This is just one of the possibilities.

Hope this helps you see a bigger range of possibilities :)

It is also possible and even more probable than the charger problem, that the battery is broken or with some kind of damage, that makes it consume a bigger current than the normal one when charging. The charger may be ok but still giving no voltage for a high charging current.
Try another battery first.
Here in Portugal, batteries are already so cheap that we can afford buying one just to try it.

I have a 3210 which seems to be dead but I know it is still working coz my wife is using it last week. I brought the unit for repair in a mall and the serviceman told me that something related to 'poweramp' had to be repaired. I'd asked him if there's a need for some parts replacement like battery, etc. but he said none. I brought the unit to 2 more serviceman and got the same opinion.
Im very much interested in repairing cellphones and feel this could be my chance. problem is I dont have any device to test. I've seen how they open my unit and successfully did the same piece by piece and setup back to original.
Any help or guide as well as drawings/schematic parts and definition so as to fully understand what to do and where to start.

your user interface ic is shorted!!! you have to replace it at once.
dont try again to turn on your phone, coz it may coz damage to other parts.

check yuoe battery and battery connector. this is a hardware related troubles... you should know how to open it! if not, i recomend that let the technician do the job... but still you can check the battery.

contact service trouble can be classified as software or hardware side of troubles. you can use griffin to revive your dead phone.

if no good, hardware problem is the cause, reheat first the board, befor you try to replace any IC.
most common cause is COBBA and CCONT.

try first the battery if it has enough voltage use voltmeter.
and to your ericsson you should have to open it and dry the mainboard using
hot air or soak it to ultrasonic cleaner for 3 mins. and let it dry. then try to put good batteries.

i suggest that you should buy a schematic diagram of your phone model.
so you can see not just the PA but the whole circuitry of the phone. its easy coz you can trace the problem of your phone using it.

Stefan from Denmark here !!!... ihave a problem wtih my 3510i ....after imy phone have been into little moist "with no batt in it" and dryed upagian / disassamble ,and the hardware has gone throug ultra sonud a clearner . it will not come back to live ..... it looks fine with no optical damage...... i have been messureing the curret when i press the power botton, and it goes to 7.68mA for about 4½ sek and goes down to 40uA agian.
it seems to been alive underneath but will turn on display and light.
a schematic wouldt be a mojor help to se what im into !!!!

I have had to repair this problem b4.Check the pcb,and see if there is any trace of fuid damage.If board appears clean,check the small holes on the board,and see if they have a 'white' appearance or powder in them.If so ,the board is ingressed and needs to be cleaned with alcohol very carefully.This cured the fone that I was fixing,so I hope it helps.If not ya gotta flash it young man!!!!! fix ;)

3650,u have to format,factory reset the phone in local mode.

2nd 3650 read with your flasher,check for hardware version,product id missing may cause no network.

before going any further,I think you needs to reload your flasher or change win os.

I just purchased this unlocked samsung sgh-s300m on ebay. It is used and the seller did warn me that the unit doesn't power up.

Along with the phone he sent me a charger and an car charger but both are labeled for the modle R225.

My questions are these:

Are these the wrong chargers and did it mess the phone up?
If above is correct, then how to repair?
If the problem is other, what could it be?

Thats correct before you make any hardware repair to your no signal phone,request first the NETWORK in the SETTING MENU in MANUAL mode.its save much time,most importantly you know what you are doing.There are more than 20 devices related to signal loss,Its a clever thing to do. :smile:

I've a Nokia 3200 where the imei show ??????????????. Then i change UEM and Flash IC and programme the phone with Tornado software but while programming it stop at Content file. Then i try to programme again, it show flash id error. I've try with Griffin Box and it happen the same thing ; stop at Content file but without showing flash id error. If i programme with PPM file only then the phone can't restart. I am sure the UEM and Flash IC are replaced with a proper way. Now the condition of the phone is Can't On. Please advice what to do. Remove upp & ball it.

Check for tracks to combo ic.

Double check the combo ic you use,dont mistake them with 6610 combo.

I need help with a SE T610 if possibeH, it has been run over!!
The LCD is smashed and it won’t power-up. I have taken it apart and cannot see any physical damage to the PCB. I've used a lamp\magnifier and cannot see any components missing or with legs\pads lifted etc. I know there are several BGA package devices which could be damaged. Do these handsets usually power-up with the LCD damaged\removed? The only life I can see is a small red LED above the joystick flicker when the battery is connected\removed. Do you think it could need a software re-load? I f so what's the best program for doing this? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hi dj ward,hope you can help me,i have a nokia 3200,before,nothing appears on the screen,so i ask a repair man here in miami florida to fix it,what happen is a very non sense repairman is the one i got,he knows how to dissamble a unit,fix the screen by replacing it with another lcd and also the keypad chip,what happen is when he try to assemble my phone,he couldnt remember which is which,so,he put back the phone and im not sure if he put back everything,after that,i check the work,the screen is working,the keypads are like new but....the lights went off,he just charge half of what we agreed price,hope you could help me,i think the lights are in good condition,maybe some of the connectors are missing,hope for your kind response thank you!!

the key pads are functioning well,the screen are ok,both the screen and the keypads have no lights,thats why im wonderin whats wrong,can you tell me whats the pcb?coz i have no idea at all,i have tools to open the phone,but no idea about the part names....

Had u checked the LEDs, are they in place? If they are, propably the miami guy put them the wrong way (wrong polarity)

i dont have any ideas on cellphones,prbobably,he put it the wrong way,i wish i could fix it myself,i tell you what exactly happen,i have a nokia 3200,with a kepad and lcd malfunction,i ask a guy to fix it and he said yes,afterawhile,he told me evrything the results,he has a nokia 3205 from metro pcs,he changed and put the lcd and keypads on my nokia 3200,(the lcd and keypad replacement comes from the nokia 3205)after he put it,the lights are gone from the screen and keypads,hope that helps to solve the problem,ill leave the rest to experts like hope for your kind response thanks!!

Hi there! It's bee a while since I visited nokiafree.org, and i sorta forgot how to reformat a 7650. As far as i can remember, it involves something like pressing some keys during standby mode and then after restart, it will reformat itself. I thought of doing this because when i tried to open the bluetooth app on my aunt's 7650, it flashes a message saying "Bluetooth: System Error!" I have already tried restoring the original phone settings and it still wouldn't work, hope you can help me on this asap, thanks! :D

can anyone help ??, i have a 6210 dads phone ha ha but hes used to it , problems are his old one got unlocked on a market and never worked again and the replacement he has now does not ring, i am guessing the ringer is no good , as it beeps for the keypads etc, where is the ringer located as i am hoping to take the ringer from the old 6210 that did work if possible, i have tried the rubber piece in the earphone moulding but this does not make any difference so pcb problem where next ?? also the screen is breaking up if you hold it at an angle and look down it is fine but when looking straight on the lcd just pulses and is very dark, i have changed the keypad/screen unit from the old phone but this has made no difference, elasticisor is fine and the screen works ok in the old 6210 any help would be greatly appreciated thanks rich

So...3650...battery came out while it was still on....now it wont turn on...it just hangs around the "nokia" screen then fizzes to white then off eventually.

Have read somewhere that holding the pencil button while switching it on is may do some kind of reset...tried it and it didnt work in this model

Also read that this problem may occur if the phone memory is below 500k, which mine is well above...so...am confused as to why this happened?

Any ways of getting around this or do i have to take it into the shop?

is it attached via screws or is it clip lock?
my screen has alot of dust gathered under it and also the sound quality is a little low so i guess it needs to be cleaned from inside.

yeah well water damage gets everywhere and its IMPOSSIBLE to clean it all off unless you have access to an Ultrasonic Bath (which can itself damage phones) sounds to me like your PA has been damaged by the liquid and is drawing too much bettery power, either that or your battery is damaged also... try a different battery in your phone before reflowing or replacing your PA...

Can sum1 help me with my 6600, there is some kind of "blokeringscode"(=dutch, don't know the english word) on my phone(you can find it by pushing the on/off button 1s, just above the profiles), but I don't know what the code is, does any1 know how to find the code or reset it..? :-?

Speakerphone doesn't work either, so its just the built in Mic.

Any ideas on what this could be, or what to check to fix it. the phone is out of warrenty, so it really sucks.

on my 3650 ( which i got from india ) there is a series of nos under the imei which says code xxxxxxx 7 nos and the type says nhl -8 and it has an fcc id code. What does that mean and does the code give any indication of what code no i could use to unlock the phone.

My phone fell out of my pocket whilst holding my parents baby, into our dogs water bowl

I grabbed it quickly, and dried off what i could, took off the case and let it air

It still turns on fine, i can ring out, hear and be heard, text, etc etc

My problem sounds similar to above. The battery doesnt last very long. About a day, have tried another battery, seems to be a little better, but still about the same

The other problem is it doesnt ring/alarm doesnt go off/cant hear music and videos - Which i presume is cause they use the same speaker?


Is it most likely still the PA in the RF? As my dad and myself thought it sounded most likely to be some sort of short circuit - would make sense as power being drained.


So i would need a new speaker for that? And a PA...




Would it be worth replacing it? Ie is it worth it sending it off and paying someone to sort it?

Reheating the blue tooth component with with hot air solves the problem in most of the cases .
the same thing for nokia 6600 also it is a common problem.

Very easy
open the phone with a T6 screwdriver ,clean the contacts carefully , lift the mike connectors a little , assemble again .
