I have a selecton of games which i want to put on a wap site to download. i've placed the .jar and .jad files on some wabspace and linked to the .jad file from the wapsite, but all it brings up is a load of technical infomation.
This way works with wallpapers, .jpg and .gif but not with games, but i have noticed some sites such as orange have the facility to do it. Does anyone know how to do it.
Thanks.
if php is supported by your webhost
try this
wapbuddy (http://jonroig.com/freecode/wapbuddy.zip)

Use tagtag.com for free WML building and hosting and

Is the any other host i can place my .jar files on other than geocities, as it takes ages to add them before it stops saying that they are not there?
Probably, sorry I don't know of any offhand, but what's your problem with Geocities, I don't understand:
as it takes ages to add them before it stops saying that they are not there?
It is fairly fast to upload even of 56k, since the file size of jar files are generally around 50kb. What do you mean by "before it stops saying that they are not there"?

Thanks to the guys at TRIPOD i got mine site running perfectly... wallpapers (more to come sooon, i promise!), tones AND games. Put the jar and jad files in the same folder in your webspace and link only to the jar files. Have a look at my site (PC, not over WAP!) http://thanhwap.tripod.com and browse to the games page. You can test it by accessing the files direct over WAP. It's an easy way to share such stuff :)

PS make sure your webspace got at least one html file (index.html) otherwise they may think you misuse the webspace as a storage :)

Heh, however they probably will notice eventually that you are not using html (i.e. no advertising) :)
Glad you got it working
