upgrade the soft version in nokia tdma?

hello I want to upgrade the software version of the nokia 51/6120 of 1.18 at 3.4, but doesn't one to make it, can somebody help me?

Phones with 1.xx software cannot be upgraded to ver 3.xx software.

As well as ver 3.xx software cannot be upgraded to ver 4.xx software.

There were hardware changes done.

The newest flash for the 6120 was 1.20 (in the 1.xx series)
