Help needed: "Contact service" :(

I tryed to change the tones on a 5110 using PPMEdit 1.0. After updating all the checks, keeps saying "Contact service". Tryed killing the checks, FAID, but its the same(I used Nfree, G3nolite 1.7 )What's wrong?

Maybe the flash you uploaded was corrupted.

Start from scratch:

1) Reupload your backup
2) Set the FAID
3) (Maybe) Reset to factory conditions

Then it should be working :)

Someone else will give you help on what you're doing wrong in terms of modifying the flash, all I suggest is you start again.

(Or wait to see if someone suggests something else, otherwise do as above)

I did all that . Nothing worked. The flash isnt corrupted cause is a backup i took 1 hour ago.
Still "Contact service"

sounds like you have backed up your entire flash my friend

only use your MCU and PPM as a backup

find the address's of your 5110 - dont know them off the top of my head
and dont backup eeprom and you will be fine

I thought 5110 has external eeprom.

do a test on your unit using EEprom Tools, it will show you the reason for contact service, may it be MCU CHK failed or COBBA Parallel or somrthing like that...

You may have made the flash too big!
Make sure that ure modded flash is not bigger than the original!

Use this to update the checksums, through my experiance it works everytime, where as I have had problems with G3n0lite!

you replaced all tones with ppmedit 1.0a?

better way to replace tones:
remove all except 1. then add tones with ppmmanager, and remove that 1 you left. check all crc's and it should work.
