Hey,

I have made this cable, and I can't get it working and why, I don't now.

http://www.nokiamobilefun.com/homebuilt.htm

I have tried everything. I want to flash a 6110 ( 5.48 ) and a 6210 ( 5.56 ). But everytime I start for example Dark Shell, and I want to make a backup I can go till the moment I have to power on my phone and after that I get the message:

Phone NOT repsond Tx=0

What on earth am I doing wrong!!!!

I have tried it on a win 98, so If there is someone who can tell me which program runs under winxp and works with this flasher I would be thankfull.

Well I'm probably gonna get fried for saying this (as in flammed :P), since there has been so much discussion about it...I used to know what the truth was but I've been confused ;)

As far as I know, XP is just about okay if you have Userport and Compatability mode on. I would use Rolis' flasher or Knok.

HOWEVER, (and apparantly) Rolis is supposed to work on XP just straight off.

So get Rolis, Fire it up and read it...might not work
Fire up rolis in 98 compatability mode..might not work
Fire up rolis in 98 compatability mode with userport...should work

But do it in that order, since it might work first time.

If you are sure your cable is right, then it simply might not be your cable, it could be the program, try rolis though, it's good (apparantly)

I wish you luck,

Bob

P.S. Correct me but extinguish those flames first ;)

Rolis is good but better use knok.. that one gives more accurate read-out.. (it is a bit slower though)

they say 5110&6110 etc better flash with knokphoenix.. but my 6110 will flash better with rolis.

i think TUDStudentje had problem with cable, i have too sometimes this tx-problem when flashin 5510, pins are not connecting as they should (3310 works fine).
