Hi guys!
I need some help here....just cant figure this out.
Can any body explain me how to replace chips like cobba ccont
I heard there was some triks but I cant fint anything useful...

What is a cobba ccont?

I moved this thread to hardware area.

Firstly you will require some form of rework station to perform such an operation.Then try the following;

1.Heat the chip to be removed,until the solder underneath it melts.
2.Remove chip from board while still keeping heat on,with tweezers or other such tool.
3.Gently clean the pads of the board with a soldering iron.
4.Coat cleaned area with some sort of flux.
5.Place chip on board and heat until it moves into place.
6.DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY OF THE ABOVE UNLESS YOU ARE A COMPETENT ENGINEER AS YOU CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR HANDSET!!!

Hope this very rough guide helps you out somewhat.

/To NokDok....ccont is chip that provides the voltages for the baseband and the rf part...cobba is A/D and D/A convertor.../
