problem with ram?

hi, I have a 8210 that does not turn on. I 've plugged it into my pc with a data cable, and had eeprom tools had a look at it. the message returned was:

phone has bad ram or check cable supply.

I know for a fact that there is nothing wrong with the cable as I just flashed another phone with it. so it must have bad ram.

is this fixable? or does this mean the phone's pcb has lived it's life and is ready to go to the mobile phone's burial grounds?
