greetings!

problem with keys 2, 5 & 8. when pressed it displays 1, 4 & 7 respectively. the unit does not appear to have any water damage and the contacts are clean and are straight.

please help

Hi there...

I believe that there's a problem with the internal flex-cable (the one which connects the slider with the display. This is cos i've experienced the same problem once... mine were keys 3,6,9 & #.

Best is to bring it back to a NSC to get the flex-cable replaced...

well the best way to solve...send it to ur nearest nokia CARE CENTRE...!!hehee

thanks for the reply. tried testing the cable for continuity and all lines where fine.

as for warranty, got none. phone was sourced outside.

hey we have the same problem someone told me that we need to restar our fone..but didnt know the codes..that's it..they say i can find the codes here in this site..but cant find it..can anyone help wats the code?? :sad:

you mean restore factory settings? try *#7370#

or install system tools.. it has "restore factory settings" option ;)
