View Full Version : Standard Sim rejection message is "Sim not Valid"?
<EDIT>Old title was: "Standard Sim rejection message is "Sim not Valid"?"</EDIT>
Just a quick reality check please, what is the standard Sim rejection message on your Nokia. (3410 if you have it, any Nokia though)
Is it "Sim not Valid", I thought it was "Sim rejected" ...
I think I'm going insane/senile :)

"Sim Card Rejected" if sim is blocked (10 wronk puk codes).
"Sim Card Not Accepted" - if phone is locked to another provider.
Cheers mate
"Sim not Valid" - If you're putting any other sim card in Bob's phone...
:D
I relocked the phone to my sim card only, but it came up with a different message than I expected, just asking :)
Cheers again
Bob
probably Nokia changed ppm text string in newer phones. look in your flash file to see..

When I upgraded my sim from 16 bit to 32 bit, it took an hour to get it activated or get it in working condition. If I tried to start the phone with the new sim in between that period, sometimes I got the message "Sim not valid" and other times I got "Sim registration failed".

How did you do that???
Apologies for late reply Romeo,
Just use Rolis 1.9 to relock the phone :)
Take a look here:
http://how.nkmobile.co.uk/
It is an unlock guide followed by a relock guide.
