I did.

If u flash 8250 into 8210 (ROM5), when u turn on ur mobile, screen is all dark & u cannot do anything. I turned off & flashed back to 8210 & it's ok.

thats bad...then i guess i cant upgrade my 8210...:(

@kenobi: I was done that many times but I was success.

If U wanna upgrade ur 8210 -> 8250, U must check ur 8210's ROM before.. If ur 8210's ROM is 6, U can be upgrade to 8250. Check ur ROM by noktool1.7 or higher.. or by eepromtool3.1

What does it mean "Rom5" and "Rom6". And how can I know what is my 8210 :confused:

Hi...zoic

I'm not sure how different between ROM5 & ROM6. As Iccang said "Check ur ROM by noktool1.7 or higher.. or by eepromtool3.1".

ROM 6 refers to the CPU (MAD21) used! It has to be this version as the 8250 MCU contains ROM 6 specific instructions.

If you do have an 8210 ROM5, hope is not all lost, hehe. you can upgrade it to 8890.
