Hey,
Ive got a bit of a problem with my 8210. I have uploaded a few modified flash files and everytime it finishes flashing it successfully and i disconnect my flash cable and put battery back in and power on, all it will display is a black background, with the words "Contact Service" displayed. It wont let me turn it off so to restart i have to remove the battery and put it back in. Ive tried following instructions from read me file and it says that is normal to display that, then u have to do things such as changing the Original IMEI and updating faid and resetting full factory settings, but when i have done all that it says to do, i turn it off and i still have the same problem , thats all it displays.

I can get the original software back by flashing the MCU and PPM files but i really would like to get different modified flash files onto this fone so can someone please help me and tell me what might be wrong and perhaps be able to solve the problem. It would be really appreciated. Thanx and look forward to hearing from someone soon :)

Hi,
why dont you flash your original one back to your phone so it is working properly, then read the full flash and save it. Make it Read Only attributes as this is your Backup.

Then you can copy this file somewhere, change the attributes to archive and modify it yourself to your hearts content. Then when you flash it back you will only have to set faid and it will work fine.

CONTACT SERVICE

1)Connect phone via Mbus cable, power on and run Eeprom Tools v4.0
2)Uncheck "DTR On" and click "Read Info" (Magnifying Glass)
3)Allow to read phone info, click "Test"
4) If fail tests regarding Cobba, phone has hardware fault!, If return PPM or MCU fail, goto step 5.
5) Open Nfader By Al, select file (*.fls), uncheck "Fade on" and "Fade Off" if you do not want fading leds, check "kill CS/FAID" and click apply!
6) Flash newly saved file to phone and update as usual!

In your case, the problem lies in step 5! You must do this everytime you modify your flash!;)
