Hi,

I was reading on here that some of you claim that mp3Go works wonderfully with a headset. I have the handsfree headset that came with the phone and when I plug it into the phone when I am listening to an mp3 (or before), it just softens the sound out of the speaker in the phone... it DOESN'T MUTE. I get sound out of both the main speaker and the headset.

Does this happen to everyone? Is there a way to mute the main speaker and just have it come out of the headset?

Thanks,
Gail

Ok, here's the trick:
Slooowly put the jack in the hole. You should here the sound fade away and soon you will here no sound from the speaker.

First i did this and put a very thin metal ring between the phone & the plug and this worked great, but then I realized that afetr tha sound has faded away you can push the plug all the way in.

I don't know how this is possible but it works for me!

Try it out and let me know if you succeed or not!

Cheers

do you have a 3650 or 7650 .. I forgot to mention that I have the 3650.

Someone else told me to put it in slowly. I thought they were joking because whether i put it in slowly or quickly.. it does the same thing ... says it's changing profiles to "Silent" but still playing softly out the main loudspeaker.

why would the rate at how you put the headphones in.. change anything?

Also.. what kind of headphones do you have?

I have a 3650 also and mine does the same thing. All you have to do is play around with the headset for a minute and it will work. Her is what I do. Put it in about half way and wait for a second. Then a little more and wait. Now all of the way in. Works for me.

I also have a 3650 and i have nokia headphones, the ones that come with the radio-phone.
The trick is that the sound goes away when you put the jack almost to the bottom... If you put it in fast it doesn't have the time to "react" to that...
Can't you get it to work???
