Network Problems

It seems to be becoming a very common problem in Nokia phones.
Some say "Program a vigin eeprom", others say "It's hardware problem", others say "FAID is bad"

Could someone please explain once and for all..
What the hell makes the phone loose signal...

If you flash the bad phone with a full flash file for another working phone, and then change imei, update FAID, etc...
Would this get the phone to work correctly???

Please, someone help... I've been looking for answers a long time...
