For the reversers:
U got bored of recalc mcu checksums each time?
Calcing is simple but why, just switch it off, I do.
All tests in mcu possible without recalc!
Only for serious I'll explain this.

Mcu checksum solution by NokDoc.
TestMcu on 3310-547.
Do whatever U want in mcu, no check recalc required.
U can adjust the default FFFF to any nr U like.
Second checksum (inside ppm) no longer exist too, fill with whatever bytes.
(however, this is mcu, so still ppm or faid calc req.)

Are we all using the CORRECT terminology??
Are what were calling CHECK SUMS really just CHECK SUMS... Because then doesnt the word CHECKSUM simply mean :
A CHECK of the SUMs (meaning add all the code up in the given range and there is your CHECK SUM) Check digit Summarization
Or is it not actually a check sum and a CRC type calculation?
Of course I assume you are talking about good ole GSM mcu code.
So please explain more so we may compare to TDMA/CDMA equipment as well.

Mr. phonedude, I don't know either!
U use a lot of terms, I hate them. (because I don't know them!)
I see numbers, I 'adjust', like I see button, I push.
If it hits back I hurt my finger, otherwise I might get Candy.
Thats me.
What is does, well Nokia proggie can be fooled in good way so it uses just 2 bytes for this mcu chksum calc, Its own bytes!!
5110-524B included, I cannot test but hope it works.

Btw, this was for serious, no start asking about the 'Can You..' stuff...
The interrested can compare the files to normal ones and with some reading of the mainpage of the site can do alot.
http://NokiaFree.Org
There is also tool to do mcu checks the old way, nFree1.2

Nokia Doc... Apologize :p for using the terms, its just ALL OF US start using whatever Person A said it was called whom tells Person B that tells Forum C and pretty soon were calling something we have no clue if its correct.
But one things is FOR SURE, we definitely cannot complain about your methods because someone has a big basket of CANDY. :D
Where others dont even dare put the coin in.
So keep doing things any way that works.
Unfortunately we cannot use the 5110 file NOR can we even use the NFREE tool because it does NOT read any of the US/CANADA type flash files!
If you have a full head of hair and dont mind losing some let us know if you want to jump into the mess with us and maybe pull out some CANDY!

Mr. Phonedudes,
U have humor, U are not American though?
About these American types, could U send such a flash maybe?
Or post a link?
I never saw one I think.
I saw some 'regulars' which in some way all looked like eachother a lot.

@Nok Doc .. The GSM files are similar somewhat to there Euro/Asian counterparts. However the TDMA/CDMA files are the ones which differ why not totally different enough to not allow the majority of the software written to work properly or not at all.
We will gather a OEM Wintesla Flash file and one read out of phone so that you may possibly help make heads or tails on what the difference is.
We will post this later this evening

We will still get those posted, we were trying to put up either a 33 or 82 series phone since those seem to differ even more instead of a 51,61 but again were faced with the problem of getting software to even read the FLASH!
If we dont get it read shortly we will just use the 51 files.
Do you have yourself or im sure with your vast resources contact anyone that has written a C,C++ flasher routine and get source code?

Hi Mr. Phonedudes,
5110, no problem.
About flashing I know nothing.
Some C sources of kNok seems to go around but this I only read somewhere.

Nok Doc and All
Ok maybe we put up a 51xx series phone to let you take a peek and see what you think.
If you could keep in mind when speaking to others. The possible whereabouts (link) or the actual file for Knok source or of course any C flasher that would be great.
It seems the only flashers for Nok are Dejan, Rolis, and Knok as all the others are either GUI front ends or just recompiled progz using the Dejan routine.
