Hi Guys, I am aiming at writing some code for a micro controller to talk to 5110 series and I thought I tackle it first in VB.
However I can't seem to get any response from the phone.

I have dowloaded logomanager and it connects ok.
I even changed the 'request phone status' code in my program to be identical stream as the one used in logomanager but I don't get any response. I've tried all handshaking options.

Very occasionally I get an 0x00 char back.

Does anyone have any code snippets in vb using fbus that will talk to a 5110.

Any hints would be very very welcome.

I'v attached the code I'm playing with if it helps.

Hi,

If you are using a M/Fbus cable remember that mode is swithed
with the DTR/RTS lines.
The DTR low and RTS high works for Mbus (so now your program
will not work probably).

Change state of these lines to see if it works and use Portmon or other comport monitor to see if it works.

good luck
