Virgin eeprom is made by Virgin or is a virgin eeprom?

Minor point of clarification for me please

Everyone talks about virgin eeproms, just want to make this clear, virgin eeproms are NOT anything to do with Virgin Phones, but are simply eeproms which have nothing written to them?

And what exactly does an Eeprom contain? Just IMEI, Lock info and?

virgin eeproms are not called that way bacause they were made by virgin, they are called virgin eeproms bacuase they are "virgin", no imei or simlock is written on them, and they have the default settings.

the eeprom cantains simlock information, imei, security code and various options you change in the phone menues, preferences etc..
