I have finally gotten a hold of another 3390 gold from a friend and here I present to you the full flash backup with serials reset. Now maybe we can begin to reverse the checksums/crc's on this phone so that graphics/tones updates are possible. At the very least, all of you who didn't make good backups because of using rollis or whatever can fix your phone. Rememeber the FAID is screwed and the IMEI is 0'd so you need to fix that with nokia tool. Its also unlocked :)

Mcu & ppm looks normal, same calcs.

In basic the phone look like a regular with cosmetic differences in viewable data.
eg dates are shown as 08-aug-01 while european say 08-08-01.
Version string(s) is also definied with slight difference.

About eeprom, I don't think it is interresting, U MUST keep Urs for frequency setting anyway.

Thanks for sending in, nice to have a look at!

Yeah, its weird, all of the checksums seem the same but when you try to change something in ppm with anything and then recalc with ppmmanager or ppmfix the phone complains that the checksums are wrong and won't initialize anything but the lights. Im going to test the checksumless mcu now and see if it works. How did you disable the checksums anyway?

well so far it boots with the checksumless mcu, lets see if it takes any editing.

nope... when I add ringtones it says eeprom tune checksum test failed? What is that, I thought I was editing the ppm.
