I was just wondering how the coding for these phones work? I have the 3650 and I see that it's a DCT-4, but what does that mean? How do you tell the different names for the phones and what do the codes tell you about the phones? Thanks.

Pressing *#0000* gives you the SW version.
Pressing *#06* gives you the IMEI.

These work with Nokia phones.

Hope this helps :)

Yes, *#0000# did tell me the software version, but it didn't say anything about DCT-3 or DCT-4. How do you know which phones are which and what do these numbers signify? Thanks.

there is no code that shows you if the phone is dct-3 or 4.

but it's pretty simple

dct-1/2 are the phones made before the 5110.
dct-3 are the phones made after the 5110, and before 3510.
dct-4 are the phones made after 3510 (including 3510).

also, all dct-4 phones have gprs and/or color screen.

I don't agree with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nokia 8310 and 6310 are also DCT-4 but they came b4 3510
And i think thaht 2100 is newer than 3510 (not sure about 2100).

Yeh, I think dct3/4 is a little vague, your best bet is looking at this.

dct4: 3510i, 6100, 8910, 8910i, 8310, 6510, 6310, 6310i,
6650,6800, 7210, 7250, 6610, 3650 or 7650

If it ain't on that list it's probably dct3...then you look at the dct2 list.

:)

Cheers
