data cable VS IR

is there any benifits to using an IR instead of data cable for pc? the phones i am talknig bout using these with is the 6610, 6100 or 7210

Even though I haven't used IR, I would say in short no difference. You have the option, choose which one you've got and use it. If you don't have an IR port on your PC (like me) then just use a cable.

You have the same functions on either so, it simply doesn't matter. I am sure some members will talk about reliability...but really, it doesn't matter too much. If it doesn't upload properly, just send it again etc.
