hi,
Does anybody have the settings for a pure GPRS connection with O2? everytime i go to use IM+ or that AgileMessenger it won't let me sign on, due to some connection error.

i use WAP GPRS and im guessing its not liking that. Can somebody post the right settings, or is it one of those things i have to speak to O2 about and sign up for a data tariff?

you need to ring them and ask them to activate mobile web for you.

Does that mean i have to sign up for a data tariff in order to use it? and i heard its only possible to have either MMS or Mobile Web enabled on one sim card

that is true.....if you want mobile web it will disable MMS.

Im still deciding what to do. it costs £3 p/mb for mobile web.....and they have no bundle options online

ah ok. thanks. might have a word with em and see what they say. ya never know. but its worth doing coz O2 got free GPRS at the moment. got some message the other day saying its free till 30th september. dunno if that just applies to me but i know a lot of people have been getting it free as since they launched O2 Active, the've lost track and so people arent being charged.
