Cutting midi ringtones

Is there any way/programs which allow you to cut midi ringtones e.g. from a 4 min ringtone (who's fone ever rings for 4 minutes!!!), to a sensable 30-60 sec ringtone?

and ringing length for incoming call may be about 30sec.
or then it depend on network.
i tried to call from 6110 to 9110, and call was dropped in 30s if i didn't answer.

so, over 30s ringtones are only wasting space in phones.

i'm not sure how much these new phones can store polyphonic tones, but 1 thing i know, cutting 4min midis to 30s will save your space so you can add some extra tones then :)
