View Full Version : 6150 Amnesia - forgets time/date

Anyone had this Problem before? After switching it off it forgets time and date ..
I have this 6150 flashed with V P5.23 Software, but can't tell if this Problem wasn't there before....
How can I repair this?

yep. same for my 6110.
i'm not 100% sure any more, but i remember that there was a battery when i opened my first 6110 in 1999 or something.

Doesn't the 61xx series have a cell battery that keeps the time and date? I can't be arsed pulling one apart right now but, I'm sure they do! Maybe it's dead?

it is inside phone
you need to replace the batery with an original one

somehow I can't find that battery ....
only thing looking like a battery to me is this:

but I made a trial assembly of a 6150 without this "battery" and it did remember time/date even after 10 minutes, but found no network instead.

Seems this is not "THE BATTERY" , is it??

it's special battery or soldered.
removing battery will not help keeping time.
but i wonder what part did you take, no signal but clock keeps time?!?

Your *.jpg files are HUGE!!! I don't even know what I'm looking at!? A blurred, dark phone??? Use a paint program or something to make them small! I use Paintshop Pro. I can get them clear as a bell at 32Kb!;)

I think that is the battery, but removing it will not stop time! It's a reserve battery in case you remove the main battery! You can steal one from a 61xx or a 5110, check if it has any affect! If not, try a full flash!!!;)
