The transistor in the M2Bus Cable

I live in Norway, and the only electronic shop nearby is Elfa, and they dont have any BC239 transistor, wich is the one used in the M2Bus schematic. Is there any other transistor I can use? I've tried with a BC547, but that diden't work.

I'm sorry, the transistor I used was not BC547, but BC546A.

YES!!!!
Got it working now. By a mistake I've set the hole thing upside down, so that pin 1 was pin 3, and so on.

So, by that I can conclude that BC546A also is a useable replacement for the BC239.
