some people say that you have to take the simcard out of the phone, and then enter the codes - when the "Insert SIM card" message is displayed.

enter code 1, if doesn't work ("code error" message) try code 7 (or 5).

one of them should work, if not - don't try again, you have only 5 tries.

after entering the codes (assuming they worked) you don't have to do anything, your phone is unlocked and you can put any simcard you want in it. :)

you have to enter the codes the way they are written, including that #, p, w and + signs.

Hi there,

I tried to enter code 1, failed, code 7, failed, and code 5, failed as well. I triple check the IMEI. It's correct. It's from USA AT&T wireless, and I found somewhere the code for the network is 31038. And it's NOKIA 3595. It just says something like "Cannot undo restriction" with a red stop sign after I enter the code.

Please help. Thanks so much.

"cannot undo restriction" means that the phone is completely locked, and you can't unlock it with codes - only wih cable.

usually this happens when you enter 5 wrong codes...

You need at least DCT4 Cheap Flasher Dongle and cable...

The procedure:
You need to put phone in "Local Mode", and then press Unlock/Repair.
