have a Samsung SPH N400 cellphone. This is NOT the spg or shg or whatever that model with the simcard is. It's about 1 or 2 month old from Sprint, and is now in Canada. I checked with www.bellmobility.ca and they carry the exact same phone.
Now, I called in and signed up for an account. Ok, they actually ACTIVATED my phone! So i'm in their database! But the problem came when they were trying to give me the programming code. It just wouldn't work.
I figured it needed to be unlocked. So I searched these forums and found some REALLY great stuff! One of which was the 47*869#1235 code that puts the phone in 'test-mode.' Ok, so I read the post, and went ahead and played with the options. One of those options was '005'. I changed my phone to 'cdma' because I figured that's what I want to use. It didn't work. Ok, I'll just change it back. Hmm....now it doesn't work. In a post later on in the same thread I saw someone say 'due to a problem with software on the phone, if you change that setting, digital will no longer be available.' Well...FUCK.. So anyways, that's one thing. Another is, I thought the 'reset' option would be a full reset to factory defaults reset. It wasn't....all it did was remove all evidence of the phone ever being programmed *sigh*. So now i'm stuck here, and I don't know what to do. The phone is all ready and added to the Bell Mobility network, but I need to get the phone working again (because of changing pcs to cdma, and resetting the phone) so i can program it.
Now, I know that the $50 is really nothing for this job, and a thank you alone isn't enough either. So I beg of you to help me out here. I will thank you, and give you $50. I just need this phone to work, and fast. I'm not after anything illegal like the whole 'ghost phone' and free minutes or anything like that. I just want to be able to use my phone on this service provider. The phone is originally a Sprint phone. Please tell me what I can do.
Again, if you get it to work with my provider, I'll give you my thanks, and $50 (USD). I'm in Calgary, AB.
Please help me out here. I've done as much research as I can, but am confused now, since I messed up a few things.
Thanks.
