Only tested on 5110 5.30A

* Change keypad-tones:

- Find this sequence (in hex): A6 0C 0B 00 04 FF 0C 0B C0 46
and change it to your tone. The tone must be in hex, 10 Bytes.
- Find this sequence (in hex): 0C 0F 04 FF 0C 0D 04 00 0C 0E
and change it with the same tone as you did above.

* Change Lock-and chargetones:

- Find this sequence: 52 1F 0B 00 51 1F 0B 00 09 0A 01 05 04 5A 0C 40 0C 06 0A FE 05 06 5A 0C 40 0C 06 40 3E 07 and change it to your tone. 30 Bytes.

Hints:

When your tone is 9 or less bytes, you must do the following: (If your tone is 9 Bytes:) Overwrite the OLD tone with the NEW tone. You'll see that there is 1 Byte that isn't overwritten. Just replace that 1 Byte with the following HEX sequence: 00

Good Luck

:)

Since I don't have a flash cable, I can't test this for my phones, does this method work for all flashes in general, or is it specific to the 5110?

If you want to donate this as part of the FAQ, that would be good :), just upp it to the donation thread :)

Cheers

Bob

Mr. BoeBoe,

I hate to say this, but the info ain't right I think.

The areas U higlight, exist not of just one tone, but more.

Now if U change that, U also change (kill) the tone before or after.

What I suggest:

A6 0C 0B 00 04 FF 0C 0B C0 46

The highlighted area is the start of 'a' tone.

Take that location, eg 0007.FFFC

Add 20.0000, and search for that 0027.FFFC

Then U will hit a sort of table with some 30 records.

That table will show U all 'true' start locations of each tone in Ur mcu.

5110-530 demo:

(01.) 0A672C_0000 0A6478 (004.) (00A60C0B)

Cheers for that, NokDoc!

Yes, I know, I think I'm going to wait before the 3310's get just out production, make it a 3330 and then make it a 3350....

Or just buy a 3410 , these cost like 150€'s

Forgot to say, but, I patched a 3310 flash with this prog called keypadtonespatcher by mr.nokmaster. I've compared with original 3310, and I've posted the differences here. Maybe it's different for 3310, or mr.nokmaster isn't quite a master...
