HONGXING
12-07-2003, 02:32 AM
Here is the free HONGXING Nokia DCT4 calculator. It works without the need of a dongle and contains easy-to-follow instructions in English and German. I am working on a Macintosh version.
The whole ZIP package is just 37,7 KB big.

Has this software been verified that it works? (meaning has anyone tried unlocking with it)
And is the source code/algo released? (as laxxe I would be interested in trying to write a php version for this if possible)
With Great Regards, Niklas.

THANK YOU!!!! This worked almost first time (i tried code number 8 before number 1) and now i have a fully unlocked phone. Thank you so much :)
I wonder if you would release the source code so someone could write it in PHP and then save some of the workload of these people? :)
FOR EVERYONE LOOKING FOR A LIST OF NETWORK CODES: There is a very helpful post in the REAL unlocking DTC4 (?) phones section of this forum, with an obvious name, that has a very comprehensive list as the second post. Perhaps someone could post a follow-up with the URL.

/EDIT]
All it took was your program, your docs, my phone, and that post and I was in business :) Ta
check my signature.
you have a shell. it's very easier to unlock phones.
100% working

when the source is available, would it be possible to recreate the calc to run on a iPqa Pocket PC??

Of course. When (if) the source becomes avaiable, you can do anything you would like with it...

so why is the source code not available, can it not be decompiled?
And when the source code is available will anyone volunteer to write the program to run on the Pocket PC???
Because i wouldent know what to do, i presume its a C++ program, and i dont know C++ plus i wouldent know what to change to make it compatable!
Anyone Gonna Volunteer to write it?

Let's have the source first :-)
I can't code C++ either, but I can make a PHP-script that does the calculating.

can you post your php so we can develop our own calculator?

anyone know when the source code will be available?
Surely it should be out there somewhere, anyone thought about emailing the program writer for the code.
If he wont give it away for nothing, we can all chip in to buy the code from him.
What do you reckon?

Hi all... Are you looking for the original source code or just the shell source ???
because all of the mentioned progs are just shells - the only "true" win32 calc i've seen this far, is the one from unique phones.
I know he disassembled the original .exe - proberbly using IDA pro.
Anyway here's my source for a DCT4 shell [VB] - real simple
Plz - don't just steal my code - only use it if you are able to contribute with something - not just for personal gain.
Rename from.rar.zip to .rar

As far as the source for the program hasn't been released, I can't make a PHP script that does the same!
- That's why I'm asking for the source! :-)

Source for shell is useless for this! We need to source for the calculator itself! When/if we have this, we could port the script to other platforms...

Hi mate
Would it be possible to create a shell using your code that will run on a iPaq Pocket PC??
No.
We need the source for the CALCULATOR, to make a calculator that runs on another platfrom (Linux, Pocket PC - or even directly from PHP).

right ok, i understand...
so how how are the shells working if they are not using the original algorythem to calc the codes? they must be using the code from the original code somewhere!?

The word "shell" means a program that is a "frontend" for another program. All the shells uses another program to calculate the codes.

i am aware of what a shell is, but what i am saying is can we get the source for the other program that gens the codes.
obviously the shell will have to 'link' to a script of some description to gen the code, but as you dont have to be online to use the shell, we all must have a copy of the algorythem locally inside the shell.
So.... Affectivly its not a shell afterall its the complete program!!
If that makes sence, it does in my head!

I think you're misunderstanding something. Why are you talking about being online? It's a little program that calculate the codes, you don't need to be online to use it. The shells uses this program to get the codes and show them to the user. If we had the source for this little program, we could port it to PHP eg.
A shell doesn't need to have the algo inside it - it could just call the little program and use the data that's returned. You can easily use the program without a shell...

One thing is what you mean, another thing is what you're writing...
You're talking about being online when calculating codes? Why? You don't have to be online, the calculator is right on your machine, it does not have to be inside the shell, but just as an external exe-file. This exe file is the one we could use the source for!
