Do do that, you must also buy a mbus cable, not only flasher cable! and if you waat unlock newer software versions, you need mbus cable too... donīt buy flasher cable only...

That's the f/mbus data cable. The flasher cable is placed instead of the battery.

Btw, where can i find a flasher cable and how much does it cost? I'm searching the stores here but they say they don't have because it is not for sale.

Yes, that's the data cable you need.

Sorry User32 but you are mistaken
Only original/cloned service batteries (for boxes, not flasher cables) are used instead of batteries..
The standard dejan flasher box or cables set have a 33xx connector that fits under the battery..
Ths is why you can buy an mbus cable which utilises your existing connectors!

This is handy as HELL! I have a habit of connecting it all up (mbus in serial port, flasher in parallel port, (e.g.) 33xx connector to phone and flasher cable) then, simply switching the connector to the other cable! Makes like simple and reduces physical stress on your systems ports!

If you need these cables or sets check out http://www.rete.co.uk/ and http://www.peccomputers.co.uk/ (tho dont buy mbus end for 8310 at ALL! Some ones manufactured leave your 8310 physically (i believe not to be SW as ohoenix BB Selftests come back neg) damaged!)

LOL!
I'm so sorry - I didn't even answer the question!

Yeh, best to use is rolis flasher 477 or 478b (either will do)
Get them, plus tutorials over at http://www.cellularbase.co.uk/

Yeh, you can edit menu pictures but to make your own menus requires recoding the source... We can dissasemble the flash but this give low level ASM going on for thousands of pages :(
You can, of course, add menus thru simatk if you have experience with pic chips/cards - by making your own simcard hex and using simatk!

SimEmu 3 does this - it is a hex for a simcard clone with simatk enabled. The use of simatk is quite smart - it allows you to change the imsi/ki (2 unique codes of a card) on the fly (thus allowing you to switch network/account instantly!)

@ DavieB

Can you explain what you mean about MBUS issues on the 8310.

Also where can we find more information on the Sim Emu 3 and simatk you speak of..

Thanks

Longgggg story!
Check thru the forum - We dicussed it in detail in a largeeeeee thread!

Also, check http://www.simemu.com/

If you dont know about advanced pic coding, then dont even try... It takes a LOT of work to make an emulated sim in a pic - The skill required is much higher and specific than what many of us (including myself) have...
