i think its Digital Cellular Technology series 4 by nokia
if im using flash cable by dejan v1.0b to copy
flashfile of 8310 it shows invalid flashfile from darkshell,

yeh, your right... The flash loaders are encrypted..
Currently even those expensive (up to 3k!) boxes don't even read..
It is not possible at the moment.. Until the loaders n stuff are decrypted we're screwed for the moment...

Also, your dejan1.0 interface wont work I think..
These boxes all have hardware based processing..
Actually, roumors have it the decryption/comms routines are so complex the Griffin box contains an Intel Pentium CPU!

This is more than the glorified dongle we all believed these boxes to be..

Personally I am scepticle of a pentium, but I don't doubt it does have a powerful processor and quite complex chipset to cope with the complexities of DCT4!

Anyway - we don't have too much info on dct4 atm :(

My 8310 was killed be arsed datacable, as was a few other forum members so I'm gonna stear clear until we know why and how exactly to avoid it..

I got a set of 3 ericsson cables but before I work on a phone for someone else I always test the kit so I can't use it until I get a phone.... Getting those simple to use moto (up to v50) emmi clips as soon as I got the cash..

Buy voltage may not be the only concern - interface wiring, speed, etc, may all affect it!

I HAD DOWNLOAAD FLASH LOADER BIN FOR DCT4 BUT IM NOT SURE IF ITS WORKING,ABOUT TTHE VOLTAGE,I THINK IT WOULD BE THE SAME COZ MY TEST HAD RESPONSE BUT THE FILE CONVERSIONS ADAPTABLE FOR DCT3 IS DIFFERENT COZ ITS NOT

BUT ON DCT4 NOT UNLESS I CAN COPY THEIR FILE I CANT MAKE THOSE EXPERIMENTS,

Nokia is fun to discover, even addictive, I fully agree.

Only I experience it in another way as U may wish for maybe.
