How to remove phone lock from Mt50?

use Mt50/m50 unlocker by maxim it is free and works fine.

i tried that software on a v9 MT50 and got the wrong software message. i have tried to repair by re-writnng the software and eeprom but nothing works, any ideas on how to solve would apreciated

Mt50 dont have Phone lock just like Nokias? I have a friend he asked me to remove the phone lock (in Nokias-> security code), not to unlock the phone to use any simcard...
(Dont get the phone yet, so i could see what is the prob with the phone... YET)

(Or am i missunderstand something?)

what i meant is as so.
i tried to remove the phone lock to use any simcard in it using the maxim m50/mt50 unlock software. the software did it's job and said unlock successfull however when i went to power on the phone it beeped and showed ( wrong software) on the screen. now i have tried several things to repair this phone including flashing and re-writing the eeprom nothing works. i have also tried ksie including the new version but i just get a boot error with these programmes.

i would like to repair this phone as it's brand new and in pristine condition.

1) Remove SIM
2) Use software as you did - It will make it say 'wrong software'
3) Turn off, remove battery.
4) Put battery back in
5) Repeat program again. It should be fixed

6) - if needed run through steps again till it ok.

ie. you need to do it twice.


I know I did exactly the same as you :o
