6100 'Contact Service' Problem

I have recently gotton hold of the nokia 6100, and have a problem with the phone displaying 'Contact Service'. The phone worked perfectly all the time and is network free. Then I picked it up one day and it displayed 'Phone Restricted' Undo.. I thought this was odd and turned it off and on again which is when it then displayed 'Contact Service'. Is this a problem with the software or as the phone is stolen new from a shop do nokia have the technology to shut down stolen phones if registered.

It is normal with nokia cellphone when the phone display "contact service". It will occur when there is a software problem try to upgrade the version. Sometimes, the hardware can cause contact service but it can be easily repaired by heating the circuit board using hot air or reflow, then refresh the software.

please check yout phones IMEI...

if is OK then u can solve the problem by going to a professional for upgrading your phone.
