Done! No more bullshit, just download the attached 6250 full flash, and follow my instructions.....

1. Connect phone to flasher cable (LPT1).

1. Open Rolis 4.77.

2. Backup your phone from 200000-600000.

3. Select phone 6210.

4. Select "write flash"

5. Open the file you downloaded from this post

6. Flash from 200000.

7. When complete, close rolis 4.77.

8. Remove and replace battery, and SWITCH ON.

9. Connect phone to Mbus cable (COM port).

10. Open Knock build 18 (or higher).

11. Select phone type 6250.

12. In phone settings, select Set new IMEI.

13. Type in IMEI as per sticker on back of your phone, click OK.

14. In phone settings, select Quick set FAID. Click OK.

15. Disconnect phone, insert SIM and switch on.

16. Done!

Your trusty 6210 is now a 6250. Don't worry, it has full 1800mhz band (so will work fine on Orange / T-Mobile in the UK). Sorted!

... but I'm wondering!
The way described by bunny0958 is a easy, simple and logical one, but some websites tell you to be careful with setting to factory defaults, because that kills the 1800-signal and that's why you should use KNOK instead of NokTool18 or eeprom-tools because these are often using that method, but other sources never mentioned this possible problem. So, is it really a problem to execute the factory-defaults procedure and in this case, how it can be repaired? "Restore 6210->setting it to factory defaults->upgrade again"?

It was me who got a full read from an original 6250 and posted it here...

http://nokiafree.org/forums/t2532/s.html

Instructions and link to the ftp site are there.

Do not use EEPROM Tools to update faid/change the imei, resetting does lose 1800mhz.

Take an EEPROM area backup just in case you do mess it and you can reset defaults with Nokia Profile 1.17 as I believe this doesnt lose the signal.

Hi, i'm a new member of this forum and i'm wondering bout one thing, if u can't use eeprom tools, nokia tools and u can use Nk Profile 1.17 to reset the default values without loosing the 1800MHz signal reception.
Can we use an alternate software like Nokia Tool 3.21 By Jordik instead of Knok or Nk Profile?
I've tried to upgrade my 6210 to 6250, i restored the default values using Nokia Tool 3.21 By Jordik, but since i'm using Telkomsel (Indonesian 900 MHz operator), i don't know wether or not it affected the 1800 signal. I haven't tested it yet.
Anyone care to experiment?

The 6250 has such exciting features as a sound level meter, task journal, automatic volume level, timed & coded keylock and a stopwatch. The actual 6250 handset is basically a rugged 6210 with these extra features (and probably some others).

i just flashed 6250 full flash to 6210
everything is working well except calling and answering.
network 900 and 1800 are ok (checked with netmonitor)
signal bars are ok

if i call to someone or someone calls to me i can't hear him, because there is extremely high noise, it's like radio is not on right wavelenght.

and keypad tones and game tones are too such noise not these beep's like they have to be

what's wrong ??
