Hi,

Can't see anywhere to put questions for 6610 so thought I would put it here and if am wrong.... oops!!! sorry!

Is there any software that will run under XP and unlock the 6610?

I have downloaded and installed several progs but none of them seem to work with XP....?

Any help would be great...

right click the prog that u can't get to work, then go to properies, then click compatability and finally set the prog to run under win 98, that should sort it out!!!

tried that... but it is the port access that is the problem....

have u tried using the USERPORT prog, that should sort it, i think it's in the downloads section if not do a search on this site

I do have a dual boot of ME and XP, i have swapped over to ME but what program will work the best?

got bwinlock to read the phone... it says open in green.... does this mean the phone is unlocked?

I have tried calcs and they didn't work, as i have tried 3 times with diff codes i dont fancy trying any others.....

Put your phone into Test Mode with DCT4 Tst Mode Activator,
then unlock as usual with JIC.

hit the www button below and follow my tutorial.

please post results.

am getting the error..... error setting device mode

getting error message as above... in ME and XP...

can put the phone in testmode but the other prog dont work.....

Hi,
Glad you had success putting the phone into test mode, thats half the battle.

You shouldnt have any trouble unlocking it from there.
Although Jic is the best, try searching the forum for alternative S/W and use it under WinME.
