nokia 5130 problem

i have flashed my nokia 5130 to upgrade the software but now it won't turn on...i need to update the faid to fix this but how can i do this if i have an auto switching data cable? i read that a lot of people are doing this so how r u doing this?

You need to be able to switch the phone to update the FAID!!!
Reflash the phone with a flash version that allows you start up phone.....then update FAID with MBUS cable.

I think it's Nokia Tool V 3.03 by Jordik that works with an auto switching cable..

i've try many flashes but still same !!!!!!!! any ideal for help???????

hi the jordik for the nokia's don't work with the auto switching cable! i haven't found any software that does except logo manager! can anybody help? this means I cannot upgrade any phones with the same connection i.e. 7110 6150 etc...

try using rolis 4.78b6 to flash
and knok v22 to quick set faid
knok works fine using an auto switching cable:)

Hi! Do you already fix your 5130...? For your question you must use ROM3 Firmware Version because your Nokia 5130 DSP type is ROM3...! If you want ROM3 Firmware Version reply to this Post... i'll give it to you ASAP you reply... GoodLuck... more power...!!!

I have solved it .. when you upgrade you have to use rolis flasher ... you must use the cpu PPM file that corresponds to the ASIC vers 3
you can download it from http://nokiafree.org/forums/software.php?u=&pathext=Nokia/ppm-mcu-files/5130-571-rom3/
After havig flashed the 5130 with this files, it will power on again .. and thus you can
correct the FAID using Knok ....
P.S.
1)When i had the problem, No soft other than rolis has accepted to flash my phone.
2)even if you have an autopower on cable, if your phone dos not go on, you have to plug the charger
connector when rolis says "Power on the phone ...."
3) if you DO NOT use the ASIC Vers 3 files you will never be able to do nothing... No FAID, ...
