How many areas a 6200 can be unlocked? I saw the number 7 at the end of the code. Does that mean a total of 7 areas that I can unlock? How does it count as a failure? I heard I can enter the wrong code no more than five times. Does that mean 5 for each of the 7 areas or 5 for total on any of the 7 areas?

I like to know more before I try. TIA!

5 total.

If a code is correct, it should work for all areas, the 7th code just unlocks all restrictions.

Hi,

My brother put an old sim card into the phone few days ago and the phone asked him for unlock code. He entered some random numbers twice. Does that count as two fails? Can I enter the unlock that way by switching to a different sim card? Or I should enter the code using the current working sim card?

remove simcard and try code number 1, the other codes are not necessary for att 6200

Ok thx for the code. It works now. I got a message saying All restrictions unlocked. Does that mean that I can use a VoiceStream SIM card and use it on my ATT Nokia Phone now. Since this phone is Tri band andy ou help me to unlock my phone. Does that also means that I can bring my phone to Asia and use any company sim card?
