Mmc Card Problem

HI PPL!

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A SD CARD (SECURY DIGITAL). MY BROTHER HAD A CAM IN WHICH THE NOKIA CARD (16MB) WORKED. MY BROTHER'S CAM USED A SD CARD, AND I THOUGHT THAT THE NOKIA 3650 USED A SD CARD. WHAT MY SURPRISE WHEN I INSERT MY 256 MB CARD IN THE PHONE AND DOESN'T RECOGNISE THE CARD.

DOES THE SD (SECURY DIGITAL) CARD WORK WITH THE PHONE. IF NOT, WHAT IS KIND OF MMC CARD USES THE 3650?

Sd cannot work with your 3650(256mb too thick),mmc stand for multi-media card,theres only 1 type of mmc at this round.

the one i bought is 256MB. Too thick true. But would a 128 or 64 MB work? If not, what kind of MMC I have to buy if I want to increase my memory? Where can I buy it? How many MB are they?

My nokia card works as a SD in a Digiatal Camera. Why SD cards are not suported by the 3650? Are any special MMC NOKIA cards?

As long as it is mmc card,any brand will do.Sandisk I prefer you to buy.A bit costly,but best in town.Max to 512MB-4MB the lowest.256MB can do,if not 512MB the best.But you needs to upgrade the phone to V3.15 in order to use this 512MB.Some brand hardly recognise by the phone,try it before you leave the shop or ask for warranty.

Hi,

choose *#0000# to see your firmware version.

For bigger cards as 128 MB you need the version 3.x. You can get upgrades at all Noki Service Centers - free of cost.

I read that the 128 MB one was supported by 2.5 version. I am wrong? In any nokia center? Does anybody know any nokia shop in spain??? Can't I upgrade my os by bluetooth? downloading the new upgrade by internet?

Hi, Hadock,

All MMC cards up to 128 MB was supported by all firmware versions. The factory version from Nokia was 2.50 and you can work with 128 MB cards.

For cards 256 MB you need firmware 3.x, various from country to country.

For a Nokia Service Center in Espania: Go to Nokia Homepage spain and search for it. You can find it under "local dealers".
Note: Some (small) dealers dont have a flash equipment, contact the big dealers via phone and ask for this equipment. If you find one, you have to wait half an hour for the flashing, cost is for free. (Sometimes you must be a member of "Club Nokia").

Via Bluetooth you cant flash self, you must have a hardware equipment and special software. And its not legal.

The firmware from Nokia is copyrighted - it exist no legal sources for it.

U'HAVE HELPED ME A LOT. I WILL BUY A 128 MB ONE, CAUSE I THINK IT'S A LOT OF WORK TO DO TU UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE. AND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FIRMWARES? ANYTHING RELATED TO THE VISUAL APPEARENCE? OR WHAT?
