Sceen Quality between 3650 adn 7650

Has anyone know how come the 3650 screen seems to be dull and not that clear compared to the 7650.. as stated by nokia both are using high resolution, illuminated color TTF display (4096 colors) and are identical in dimensions.. is so then the 7650 tend to have some kind of additional hardware that makes the resolution on the screen alot clearer and better....

Hi,

from the technic are the displays the same. But I read in the past, that all phone manufactorer sometimes change the backlight from one to an another light system or only other lights.

Therefore all users can get sometimes a various image (came from the lights > more white shine). This coult be within the same product range or from the changing 7650 to 3650.

Actually it's just the same.....Change your fone cover or your display settings if it look's dull..

there is a noticible diference when you adjust the contrast setting!!! these are probably taking the difference as the screen on my 3650 is clearer than the screen of some i knows 3650 because i altered the contrast

What the 7650 have is a light sensor. The 3650 don't have it. Perhaps there is the difference

As mentioned, the cover can cause the screen to look different than it is. The display on my brother's 3650 is a little unclear - looks like a display with that plastic thing on like when its new.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it,but the display test on jbencmark put the nokia 7650 on first place,then the p800,i cant remember who was third but i think that the 3650 was fourth or fifth.

Agree on that one. The tendency is when you play certain midi's and you touch it, the loudspeaker shuts off.

As for the difference of the screens, I guess there's no difference, maybe it's just your housing, clean it. Or better to adjust the contrast, as mentioned b4.

well, i feel, 7650 is better. and 3650 lags more (due to mem card and low ram).

Guys i think u r mixing things up with the light sensor... All it does is switching off the display backlight when it detects strong light from sun! I believe u r refering to the proximity sensor... ;)

Well as seen on both phone you can see the difference in the PIXEl rating and color contrasting on the 3650... when your trying to take a picture using the active view finder for the nokia 7650 the on screen video seem to be alot better than that of the 3650
the 3650 seem to be sandy with alot of pixels seen on the screen but with regards to the picture quality of the phone then the 3650 seem to have better resolution.. only in the screen is different... :confused:

The 7650 camera quality is the same as the 3650 but the nighttime setting is far superior, why i dont know the 7650 has a little more 'Ram' but not that much to make a difference the 7650 was aimed at the 'buisness user while the 3650 was aimed at the younger market..
one thing that Bugs the hell outta me(although not pertaining to this thread!!) is the fact that both phones have mono audio output What the hell is that about??

the display quality in 7650 is 16bit while in 3650 is only 12bit

its a a manufacturers fault...........................both of my freinds has a 7650 and both doesent have the same illumination, hue , brightness or whatever...............................................but my 3650 can light our small barrio.....................

Take your cover off the front of the 3650 and look how bright, crisp and clear it is. Much better thant hte 7650

how? just install the jbenchmark to the phones, and run all with the normal phone settings, actually, only tested for 7650(my bother's) and mine 3650, the p800 my fren test it with his, and gave me the result

SORRY MAN BUT FOR ME IT'S THE BEST IDEIA EVER IN A PHONE..ALSO THE LIGHT TURNING OF WHEN YOU ARE AT THE SUN IS GREAT FOR THE BATTERY .i'm seing that you have a 3650 no ?? i had the chance the compare bouth phones, 7650 and 3650, 3650s ecran and it's camera had less quality for me. I'm afraid the 7650 has a 256 colour display!

Only the 3650 has a 4096 Colour Display.

Further more i think the 3650 is better in every aspect, they really won't make a new phone that has sucky specs!

If the 3650 is better than the 7650 how come it is in the lower class .. 3 series.. than that of the 7650. a seven series phone.. and the 3650 although newer and has added features like the MMC is still cheaper than that of the 7650.. maybe there is something different in hardware..

the 7650 has also 4096 colors same with the 3650

the screen of both the 3650 and the 7650 has 4096 colours (thats 12bit colour... 2**12 = 4096)

while some newer phones (like the 6600) has 16bit colour screen (2**16 = 65,536 colours or some would call it 65k)

just to clear things up alittle... :)

That info is wrong,both the 7650 and 3650 have the same type of processor,ARM9 104 MHZ,one more thing on the website is wrong,the 7650 has more RAM then the 3650.The 7650 is better the the 3650 in every aspect except the MMC slot which obviously,the 7650 does not have and the built in camera application which is worse on the 7650.

You tested them all for yourself?I've tested them too,and i was really disapointed to see my p800 lose from my brothers 7650.I got similar results for the 7650 and the p800 and the 3650 scored a little less then the results published on jbencmark.I guess that your p800 must be some kind of a special p800.The results on jbenchmark are statisticaly gathered from thousands and thousands of tests and are very realistic.

256 colour? lol
