Strange 3650 bug "2"

A classmate of me has a 3650, he got it since a while now....
suddenly a day when he turned it on (the day before he played around with irda and bluetooth) at the right top corner under a "D" now a "2" is displayed... he dunno what it means, and now he can't phone anyone anymore !!
he got t-mobile germany xtra (like me...)

anyone got a solution for that ?

tell him to hold down the # button for a few seconds

and don't worry... after reformatting the fone, it will be TOTALLY GONE...

mine's the opposite... i want to bring back the LINE 2.

to thermoids, i read somewhere that after formatting line 2 disappears?? is it true?? did u do a format thats y it is now gone??

yes, but "2" mean line 2.
like G (under signal meter) mean gprs aviable (can make gprs connection in this area).
