Hello!!

Is there any chance to convert an 3310 to an 3390 or an 3330->3390 conversition. Or does it not work?? In USA they use the 1900 mhz and in europe we use 900/1800 mhz...

Anyone who knows and tried this.. ?

I don't thik it will work 'cause the front view of a 3310/30 is like this http://members.tripod.com/densuperpage/Images/Nokia3310.jpg. It will surely not work.

Guess it depends on what you want to work. Couldnt tell you for sure if the software will operate but it surely will NOT get a network. There are definite hardware differences as well as the the transceiver being 1900mhz and frequency change is not software controlled.

Besides why would you want to convert anything to a U.S.A./Canada model? They are feature reduced versions of the cool stuff you Asian/Euro guys have!

Alright.... I just wanna know if it works...

you can upgrade 3310 to 3315 but can you do anything with the 3330??

I've heard that you can upgrade to 3350 but I don't know what are the benefits from that.

i've tried the reverse. i've attempting a 3390 to a 331X.

i had problems loading the 331X firmware to my 3390 which had a DSP ROM5. loaded perfectly with my ROM6 3390 though. no signal however. :(

where are you planning on using the phone after you have converted it into a 3390? NorthAmerica of Europe? i'm curious to know if a 3310 to 3390 would get a signal if you tried using it in NA. i'm certain that it won't get a signal in Europe however.

i'm also curious to know if my 3390 to 3315 would pick up a signal in Europe. :D it would be hella sweet, but....... hardware differences of course. but then i don't believe anyone has ever actually tried it, or have they?

as for the 3330, i haven't heard of anyone successfully converting it into a 3315. there is that conversion to a 3350, but you supposedly have to change your screen because of a different screen size or something. maybe a 3330 to a 3395 (the NA equivalent) would be possible, but........ hardware differences of course. :p so no signal!

as long as you make a full back up of your phone, it doesn't hurt to try. ;)
