i've mcu&ppm&eeprom flashed but it shows "Contact Service"

I have flashed my 8210 phone and d/l the mcu&ppm from address 20000-34000 and 34000 to 3D000. and i also get the virgin eeprom and flash it from 3D000 to 40000.
But the problem is after i flash those three files, my phone has Contact Service appear on the screen everytime i turn on the phone.

Any one know how to correct the Contact Service problem?
I have tried to read back the flash file address 20000-3D000 from the phone. But when i use Nfree to read the flash file, it won't read.
I need to remove the Contact Service in order to change the imei, Lock and the FAID.

Can someone help me please.

Ive had this problem all to often when trying to fix various nokia mobile phones...

All i can suggest is "shop around" for more MCU+PPM files around net and try them, as some of them seem to be slightly dodgy/corrupted (to me neway)

Does it immediately show CONTACT SERVICE??
Or does it show INSERT SIM CARD then restarts then CONTACT SERVICE???

If it immediately says contact service then its possible that the eprom is corrupted also. If instead it asks for you to insert sim card then contact service its simply a MCU+PPM checksum error

It will immediately show Contact Service when i turn on the phone.
i use the virgin eeprom ... is that the eeprom problem?

I can't connect the F/M bus cable cos it's immidiately show the CS.

any one know where to get good flash files?

check the porblem with eeprom tools by bphreaks. Click test and it should tell you why there is a contact service.

i can't do anything...as the CS appear when i power on the phone. the eepromtools will say my phone is not connected everytime i press the test.

i tried the cable on my other phone, and i can see the info of my other phone. So nothing wrong with the cable.

you can still read the fones information if it simply says contact service - just connect cable and try different software on it like nok toll or rolis

i had this problem...you need you get a better quality ppm/mcu/eeprom then do as normal and it should be ok

any one know where to get working mcu+ppm for Australia (L) and working eepromfor 8210 ?

first of all u have err in the adress or u have written them incorrectly:confused:

second u can update faid when thew phone give CS but u have to send the order to phone in the very littel time befor CS apear.. i know it is seems imposible:rolleyes: ...but u can do it if u r very fast in clikind;) and this my help as i did.

i am not sure did i flash into the wrong address or not.
But is there any flash file like from address 0 to 20000 and 40000 above?

If someone have it, i may give a try on it ... :(

you must also remember that not all contact service phones can be fixed by software. somethimes the problem can be in the cobba or the mad

But i d/led the wintesla mcu&ppm.
Do i still need virgin eeprom?

ok .. i have d/l rolis 514 and i also d/l the wintesla mcu&ppm.
i Load MCU and Load PPM ... and i pressed Flash. But the program not doing anything, it keep saying power on.

i assume the flashing using the flash cable right?

use winddp or wintesla to know what is the cause of contact service, if everything is fine MCU+PPM+Eeprom then maybe the problem is the cobba i.c., change it.

ok i d/l wintesla 7.05 software package.
I tried to figure out how to use it ... but i still have no idea how to use the program?

Does it use the dejan flash cable?
