7210 Infrared problems

Hi..

I have a nokia 7210 which has been replaced by my provider for the 4th time now. I keep getting problems like sim card rejected, insert sim card, loss of signal and also automatic turn off. It is really starting to annoy me as I refuse to believe that 4 phones will be fautly.

What I managed to do with the last one is leave it as it is for a few hours and it worked fine. I then connected to to my laptops IRDA and sent myself a blank operator logo and there the problems began.

The signal started to drop and when it got down to the bottom, it came up with insert sim card. Now a few hours later I cant even get the thing to stay on for more than 10 mins. I have tried to remove the wallpaper and logo thinking it could be memory but that does not work

Has anyone had this before and if so, did you manage to fix it?

I think I figured out what the problem was. I have not had a leather case on my phone for the last 2 days and it has not crashed once. Not asked me to insert sim or anything. Its working as it should do.

If you have a case, try taking it out of it..
