downgrade 3330->3310

I tried this downgrading by simply flashing my 3330 with a 3310 flash but it didn't work...

Does anybody know how to do this...

maybe u can - but i am not 100% sure.
I bought an 3330 on ebay, it was in "CONTACT SERVICE"
It wouldnt come alive until i flashed it with a 3310 fullflash, then it was in perfect shape and i sold it as a 3310.

BUT - maybe someone sold me a 3310 "mainboard" in a 3330 shell ... i couldn't tell the difference by just looking at it.

this happened to other ppl, too - use the search function to find the respective treads ...

i would say that person sold you a 3310 because you cannot flash 3310 software on a 3330 and vice versa.

To flash a 3330 down to a 3310, you have to flash a full flash file twice! Once at 0200000-0400000 and then again ant 0400000-0600000! Your phone will then function normally as a 3310! Don't forget to set th FAID!!!;)

i replyied to this because i thought it wasnt posible !! I have flashed a 3330 a couple of times by accident with 3310 flash files and it has never worked. i was told this was because of different hardware. This forum is a community! We are all here to help each other! I do not post in threads if I do not have anything positive to contribute! As for your above post it was an assumption rather then fact! If you use the search button above before posting answers, maybe this conversation would not have occured! As for my Mod status...? Why would I want to be a moderator? I respect the moderators for the work they do for this forum, but I respect the next person just as much. This is why I am so happy to enlighten Newbies with my experiences! oh, it's impossible, and before it was possible.
hey, i know it's possible. flashed one 3330 with "double" 3310 flash including eeprom.

btw, i have 3330 pcb with extra buttons, but unfortunately it's completely dead :( it cannot be flashed, rolis says about phone tx high, i've tried to clean it but no success.
got another 3330, but that one doesn't have extra keys and is v03.05. (never seen before that old flash for 3330...)
that 3330 without extra keys will be down(/up)graded to 3310/5 v06.07 with 5210-look covers for fun :D

Many friends ask me to flash their 3330 to 3315.
Now, you must flash the 3315 flash twice, but, how about the EEPROM?

And is this true that 3330 with no extra buttons only can be downgraded?

@chunkhead: yes, board is drying now. but i don't think it will help, because rolis says "mcu ram is bad".

@boeboe: i think every 3330 model can be downgraded to 3310 (upgraded to 3315 :D )
and about the eeprom, it has to be twice too.
i opened command prompt, typed in copy /b mcu.fls + ppm.fls + eeprom.fls fubu.fls and after that flashed with knok 200000-400000 AND 400000-600000. so the second fubu is like shadow.
after you flash working flash, then you'll have to set up 3330 original imei etc and remove locks if using those virgin eeproms.
when 3330 is flashed to 3310, i think every information written via mbus to eeprom will be shadowed on second eeprom.

Try increasing the Delay index before flash and keep trying it! I have got that message a few times! I get goo results on 3;)

it has nothing to do with delay. ram is bad :(
can't power on that 3330, but flashers recognise if power is pressed.
i think, because ram is bad, it can't boot up to show contact service...

yes u hve to flash it twice wid full flash.first the original or unmodified then the second u can use a modified one.u cn prefer any then convert it to 3315 for aditnal menu
